Disney Theatrical Group seeks a top notch, experienced assistant to provide administrative support to our President. We are seeking high caliber candidates who possess an impressive history of increasingly responsible administrative support roles. This individual must ensure an efficient and approachable office atmosphere, manage the constant flow of information and proactively coordinate the demanding work hours of the President. To be considered for this role all applicants must be passionate and well versed in New York, regional, and international theater. The ideal candidate will demonstrate poise, discretion, sound judgment along with a high-level of maturity.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Answering and managing heavy phones, maintaining multiple constantly fluctuating calendars, extensive scheduling of travel arrangements and meetings, coordinating special industry events, maintaining and updating contact information, maintaining files, preparing expense reports, opening and distributing mail, and other duties and project support as needed. In addition to these general support functions, the assistant must be able to interact with artists as well as executives both within and outside the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have three (3) or more years’ experience with supporting an executive, ideally within the media and/or entertainment industry. All applicants need to be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding the nuances of supporting a creative leader, along with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personalities of both executives and artists. The pace of this position is hectic, with work required between conventional hours according to project driven goals. The demands of this position are considerable, with commensurate rewards to an individual interested in working within fast-paced, dynamic theatrical environment.
