POSITION: General Manager
DESCRIPTION: The Random Farms Kids’ Theater, a non-profit 501(c) 3 children’s theater company in Westchester, NY, is hiring a General Manager. Candidates should be strong writers with a passion for theater and a background in, or desire to be a part of, non-profit management.
Random Farms was founded in 1995 and is proud to have launched the careers of many young actors performing on Broadway, film and television. Development duties include:
–fundraising and outreach
–marketing and publicity
–donor and volunteer relations
Administrative duties include:
–light graphic design
–coordinating schedules for performances of our anti-bullying tour
–data entry and customer service
–website updates and broadcast emails
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
–strong writing and interpersonal skills
–social media skills
–computer skills and ability to learn new programs
–vision and ability to think out of the box
–self-starter, proactive and high energy personality
Familiarity with the following is helpful, but not required (please note on your resume any experience with these programs):
–Google calendars
–Joomla
–Constant Contact
–Imaging programs (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
–Project management software (e.g. Asana, Basecamp, etc.)
–Active Network registration
–Excel
–Power Point
Time commitment:
The General Manager will work from home with a full-time schedule. While employee will need to be available throughout the week, s/he can often set his/her own schedule, and the hours are flexible. Employee will also need to commute to NYC or Westchester for occasional meetings or performances.
Compensation:
$35,000 with benefits. Opportunity to grow with the organization; ideally, employee will generate income that will in turn lead to salary increases.
