In case you want to watch something ELSE today besides CNN.
It’s 8:56 AM on the day after the election as I type this. So by the time you read this blog, we may be closer to this political drama’s denouement.
That’s all I’m going to say about that. Because, well, I just can’t go there right now.
I wasn’t planning a blog today, but now, as I think about trying to distract myself from the minute-by-minute coverage and vote-by-vote count, I thought you could use a theatrical distraction as well.
So, I thought I’d take this opportunity to do something that I’ve been asked to do many times since the summer.
Back when the temps were warmer, we did a survey, asking YOU what you thought the top 3 issues facing the theater were. Your answers? Streaming, Safety and Equality.
Once I figured out what was on your minds, I commissioned some smart people to talk to other smart people about those issues, in intimate, candid, one-on-one conversations.
We captured enlightening conversations on video to give you insights and expertise on how we can all make better theater in each of these areas.
The response to the video series was fantastic.
These videos were only shown to people who signed up to receive them, and were only made available for a limited time.
Since their debut, I received a bunch of requests to offer them up for viewing again, and . . . well, what better day to give you another chance to check them out.
You can get them here.
And I hope they help you focus on something else.
And I hope by the time you read this there’s a resolution to this election (and yeah, I think you can bet which way I want it to go.)
