Introducing a new place where the “cool” people (aka theater people) hang out.

Quick story from my early awkward days . . .

When I was in college at Tisch, I , like every other student at NYU, tried to get into nightclubs on the weekend.

And for some reason, the fancy door people, with their super chic outfits, always turned me away. In hindsight, it might have something to do with my khaki pants from The Gap, white shirt from The Gap and blue blazer . . . from JC Penney.

I did get into one. Once. One of the ladies from my acting class at Strasberg took pity on me, and escorted me past the velvet rope on her arm. (You know who you are, and I’m still thankful.)

When I got inside, well, things got worse. All that I wanted to do was talk about theater! And apparently, that’s not what most people do at nightclubs.

Ever since, I have longed for a place where I could mingle with other people who loved theater as much as I did.  A place with no dress code. No cover charge. Just passionate theater people who wanted to make theater . . . and took steps to do that.

So we made one!

It’s online (duh), so you can even go to this “club” in your PJs. In fact, it’s on Facebook, so you already know the address.

That’s right, we created the ultimate TheaterMakers Facebook Group! And we seeded it with a ton of our friends! There are already 700 other producers, writers, directors, actors and more mingling right now!  (When you join, it’ll be like going to a nightclub that’s already “hoppin'”!)

So if you’re looking for a place where YOU belong and you want to meet other people just like you, click here.

Enjoy it. I happen to think it’s the coolest club on the planet. And who knows? You might meet someone who wants to go on your theatermaking journey with you.
