WHO: The Broward Stage Door

SEEKING: Performers for THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA & PLAZA SUITE

REQUIREMENTS: "The Light in the Piazza" roles available:

Signora Nacarrelli: Italian Woman in her late 40s/early 50s – speaks only in Italian, sings in Italian and English. Must be able to hit a high C. Please bring in her song, "Aiutami" or be familiar with it and bring in a comparable piece.
Ensemble: Strong legit singers Soprano/Alto G3-A5, Tenor D3-A4, Baritone D3-F4. Please bring in 16 bars. We make ask for the whole song or other material as well.

"Plaza Suite" All roles open.

Sam Nash/Jesse Kiplinger/Roy Hubley – 50s, plays three different roles: a philandering husband having a mid-life affair, a Hollywood producer, and the harried, ready-to-explode father of the bride. Must have excellent comic timing.
Karen Nash- late 40s/early 50s, warm, practical; a woman who has let her age and nature take their course. Karen is content with who she is and what she has.
Muriel Tate – late 30s, attractive, likeable New Jersey housewife whose naivete goes hand in hand with an insatiable curiosity about how the other half lives.
Norma Hubley – late 40s, the mother of the bride, concerned with appearances – and it appears things are not going well. Please bring in a 1 minute comedic monologue. We may ask you to read from the script.

WHEN: "The Light in the Piazza" rehearsals begin February 8, 2011 and run through April 10, 2011. "Plaza Suite" rehearsals begin January 18, 2011 and rusn through March 20, 2011. 

PAY: $350-$400 weekly

HOW TO APPLY: Auditions will be held on Saturday Nov. 13th and Sunday Nov. 14th at Pearl Studios 500 8th Avenue from 10-6. Please submit headshot/resume for an appointment to browardstagedoortheatre@yahoo.com.
