Playwrights – Nylon Fusion Collective

WHO: Nylon Fusion Collective

SEEKING: Emerging playwrights for its new writers collective.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Playwrights will meet twice a month and will be expected to complete a one-act play for a festival of new work in July. We will invite guest playwrights and dramaturgs to speak with the group and are in the early stages of developing a writers retreat in Pennsylvania. We believe strongly in the importance of fostering a healthy, friendly writing environment. As such, there will be no "competition," each member of the collective will receive a workshop performance of their play during the summer festival.

In addition to attending meetings and working on a new play, applicants must be willing to be full-fledged members of the collective, by helping to fundraise and actively assisting with the production of the festival.

HOW TO APPLY: Please submit a 15 page writing sample, theatrical resume/bio and a cover letter introducing you as a writer and your interest in the writing group by February 15th. Applications should be sent to literary@nylonfusion.org. Applicants will be notified by February 28th and meetings will start in March.

The collective will be facilitated by NFC literary officer Kate Mulley.
