The Sunday Giveaway: Two Tickets to Drunk Shakespeare!

After all the studying of Shakespeare I’ve done over the years, there are two things that I’m positive about:

1.  He wrote all his own plays.

2  He had to be drunk while writing some of them.  I mean, come on, A Midsummer Night’s Dream? That play is like one giant frat party where all the freshmen had to bring a keg and a donkey mask.

That’s why I love the concept behind this week’s Sunday Giveaway . . . Drunk Shakespeare!

At each performance, one of the company members does five shots of whiskey . . . and then performs in one of The Bard’s great tales.

Watching it is like theatrical Nascar.

I mean, listening to a drunkee slur their words is always fun, but listening to one slur iambic pentameter?  Now that’s a party.

And you’re invited!

The winner of today’s giveaway will win two tickets to this New York Times Critic’s Pick and what Slate called, “The best thing to ever happen to the theater.”  (That’s a quote that could make even Hamilton jealous.)
