Our second speed date! Guess who we’re matching up this time?
Last March we held our first speed date for Writers, and from what I hear, we had quite a few hook-ups that night.
It was so much fun that we decided we should have another one, but this time we thought we’d go after another group.
Instead of matching up Writers with other Writers, this time we’re going to match up Writers with . . . Directors!
I’m a big believer that a Director should be brought into the creative process pretty early, especially on a musical. Good Directors keep the ship headed in the right direction, and also act as mediators and diplomats during discussions about which way to take a show.
But what if you’re a Writer and you haven’t found the right Director? And what if you’re a Director looking for a project?
Why, you come to the Writer-Director speed date, of course!
On Tue, May 10th from 7 – 9 PM, at our studio, Directors and Writers will get a chance to mix and mingle and hopefully meet someone who will help take their show to the next level.
Wanna come? It’s free . . . and if the last one is any indication . . . a lot of fun.
Email Jane Caplow to register. (Writers, make sure you indicate if you’re coming as a team (composer and lyricist, etc.))The last one filled up fast, so email her today to save your spot!
And we’ll see you at the W-D Speed Date!
