SEEKING: Actors for "Electra in a One-Piece"

ELLE (F, 18 – late 20s) – a 16 year-old high school student. Impressionable, insecure, and emotional, with a wild imagination. Intelligent while still being innocent. 

ORE (M, 18 – late 20s) – an 18 year-old soldier serving in Iraq. Young, brash, angry and confused. 

LAD (M, 18 – late 20s) – a 19 year-old soldier serving in Iraq. Virile, manipulative, flirtatious. Cares deeply for Ore. 

THUS (M, 18 – late 20s) – a 17 year-old All-American pool boy bruiser dumbass. Sexy, athletic, and tough, with the emotional and mental capacity of a fifth grader. (Wears a bathing suit.) 

BUDDY COX (M, 30s – early 40s) – a slick and intimidating television producer. Ruthless and direct, a man of few words. 

MALE CHORUS (M, mid 20s – mid 30s) – plays several roles, including an alcoholic housewife and a jittery Southern husband. Must be a creative comedic actor. 

WHEN: 1st rehearsal: October 10, 2010. Rehearses 5 – 6 days/week, evenings/weekends. Runs October 28 – November 14, at the Wild Project.

Submissions must be received by August 18th. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to submit. Non-union performers are also encouraged to submit. Sides will be e-mailed to you with confirmation of your appointment.
