WHO: MTWorks NYC

A young woman from the 18th Century is enraptured by the Bard's work, only to discover it has been censored by the family she uses his stories to escape from. Inspired by the complete censored works of William Shakespeare, by Thomas and Henrietta Bowdler.

SEEKING:
Thomas Bowdler:  25.  A young doctor.
Henrietta Bowdler:  25.  His sister—a woman who lives in a world of her own.
Jane Bowdler: Mid 30s.  The eldest sister.  A sickly woman.
John Bowdler:  Mid 30s.  The elder brother.
Dorcas Tinsley:  A young girl of 15, but should look even younger.
Mrs. Tinsley:  30s – 50s,  Dorcas’ mother
Beatrice Roscow:  30s.  A cook.
Fenton (Fen) Roscow:  Age 7.  Beatrice’s son.
Marcus / Deacon Barlow:  1 actor to play both roles. Marcus: 60s-70s. A butler. Deacon Barlow: a small fragile man in his 70s.

WHEN:
1st rehearsal: 3/8/11. Tech starts 4/4/11.  Previews: 4/12, 4/13. Opens: 4/14.  Closes: 4/30/11.

Performs: Tuesday – Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm.

Rehearsals will be weekends and weekdays (during the day, if possible).

Appointment only auditions will be held on Saturday, November 13, 3pm to 9pm, at Night Owl Studios, 112 W. 27th Street, 7th Floor, NYC.

PAY: Equity Showcase, approval pending; $300 stipend
