Leading the industry once again was Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which topped the chart at $3.04M while selling out 100% of seats at the Lyric. Wicked followed closely behind with $3.00M and full houses at the Gershwin, while Hamilton rose $179K to $2.98M, maintaining over 100% capacity with a robust $279 average ticket. Family and tourist-driven titles showed major holiday momentum, with The Lion King jumping $383K to $2.75M, Aladdin climbing $274K, and Mamma Mia! rising $171K to $2.09M.
Several shows posted notable gains as December traffic intensified. Stranger Things: The First Shadow surged $307K to $1.92M, playing to 99% capacity, while MJ added $217K and The Outsiders climbed $228K, both benefiting from premium holiday pricing. Among plays, All Out: Comedy About Ambition had a standout week, soaring $664K to $1.07M following their gala opening performance, and Art remained one of the season’s strongest non-musicals at $1.59M across a nine-performance week. The week also marked several closures, with Art, Little Bear Ridge Road, and The Queen of Versailles playing final performances on December 21. Compared to the same week last season, grosses were up 8.50%, signaling a strong start to Broadway’s most lucrative stretch as the industry heads toward Christmas and New Year’s.
