Broadway dipped slightly this week, with total grosses falling 2.74% to $39.26M and attendance dropping to 321,960, as the post-opening rush faded and the market settled into a quieter early-May rhythm. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child held the top spot at $2.29M, while Hamilton slipped $146K to $1.80M. The Lion King eased $154K to $1.73M, and Wicked fell $209K to $1.20M. Every Brilliant Thing hit a new season high at $1.72M to a sold-out Hudson, and Death of a Salesman held virtually flat at $1.46M. The week’s biggest bump was Oh, Mary! which surged $710K to $1.54M in Maya Rudolph’s first week that puts it among the week’s top grossers, while Chicago climbed further to $1.69M at over 101% capacity. Moulin Rouge! The Musical edged up to $1.69M as well, and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone rebounded strongly in its first full performance week, jumping $362K to $942K.

On the downside, Death Becomes Her dropped a steep $222K to $574K, Stranger Things: The First Shadow fell $225K to $778K, and Hadestown slid $132K to $717K. The Lost Boys crossed the $1M mark in its first week at the Palace post-opening, while Fallen Angels continued its upward trajectory to $645K. With no new previews entering the market this week, the full roster of 40 productions played standard schedules. Season-to-date grosses now stand at $1.79B, running 4.61% ahead of last season.
