Broadway Grosses w/e 01/27/2019: Caution: Broadway May Be Icy
This week Broadway grosses slipped slightly by 5% to a total of $30M. Last week we bid farewell to two productions, and two more took their final bows this week with American Son and The Waverly Gallery playing their final performances on Sunday.
As the winter temps drop, fewer tourists are taking to the streets, but Broadway Week’s 2-for-1 deal helped many shows recover slightly this week posting small increases over the previous week. Despite its name, the promotion continues through February 10th.
