Broadway Grosses w/e 9/8/2019: “Fall”-ing Flat
Last week, overall grosses were down 10%, coming in at $26 M. Despite two more productions on the rolls, attendance remained flat at 224 k.
Nearly every show on the boards posted a decrease in sales coming off the Labor Day holiday weekend. Weathering the storm are Betrayal, which opened last week to glowing reviews, and Hadestown, who felt just a slight dip of $14k.
