From Dream to Debut: Jeffrey Scharf’s REUNIONS Makes Its Off-Broadway Premiere

Big shout-out to Jeffrey Scharf.

Composer. Lyricist. Book writer. All the things.

He’s been produced all over. He’s written songs for movies. He was a Kleban finalist. He’s done a lot in this business.

But you know what he hasn’t done?

Had a show Off-Broadway.

Until now.

In just a few weeks, his show Reunions will be opening Off-Broadway at City Center Stage.

And wait until you hear this cast: Chip Zein. Joanna Glushak. Chilina Kennedy, Courtney Reed. Directed by Gabriel Barre. And more.

That’s an all-star team.

How It Happened

And here’s my favorite part of this story . . .

This is happening because of Jeffrey.

A year or so ago, Jeffrey said something that I think every writer should say at some point:

“It’s time for me to have a show in New York.”

And then he asked for some help.

We helped him put a team together. We helped him shop for theaters. We helped him make a plan.

But make no mistake – he made this happen.

Because of his passion, because of his drive, because he refused to wait for someone else to give him permission . . . It’s happening.

Why You Should See Reunions

Go see Reunions this fall at City Center Stage Off-Broadway.

You’ll be charmed, entertained, and inspired – not just by the music, but by the story behind the story.
