The First-Ever Producer’s Perspective Social!
My Dad is right.
We’ve gotten too smart for our own good. Technology has taken the place of good, old-fashioned, face-to-face contact. Ask yourself: How many people do you correspond with online but have never met? How many people do you email that you’ve never even spoken to on the phone?
Well, when I asked myself that same question, it was a heck of a lot of people, most importantly . . . ALL OF YOU!
So, TPP is going old school.
On Friday, December 12th at 6:30 PM, I’m hosting the first ever Producer’s Perspective Social at The Time Out Lounge at New World Stages!
We’ll get a chance to meet face to face, say hello, and talk about all of the problems (and possible solutions) facing all of us who want to work in the theater.
And more importantly, you’ll get to meet a whole bunch of other people just like you.
Because I know first hand that sometimes it can feel like you’re all alone in your passion for what you want to do, as you sit at home in front of your computer, or when you see a new musical by yourself and it gives you those “wow, I want/need to be a part of that” chills.
Broadway is a collaborative business . . . just like life. We need other people to keep it going.
So come to the Social on the 12th and meet people just like you. There will be Producers and Directors and Designers, oh my!
And the first drink is on me!
IMPORTANT: You will need to RSVP for this event, as frankly, there are a bunch of you out there, and I want to make sure I have enough pretzels! The RSVP list will be taken from the COMMENTS on this entry. Please comment on this entry with your first name and the first show that you ever remember seeing (i.e. Ken – Annie). Please note, availability is limited. At some point I will have to shut off the comments, so please RSVP today!
I’ve also arranged for $25 tickets to
all the shows at New World for that night (not just mine!). Check the schedule here.
So call it a Social, or a Mixer, or a Networking Event or even K-Date if you want. But whatever you call it, make sure you come.
Otherwise my Dad will be mad at you too.
