Get thee to the Drama Book Shop if you’re looking for a gift idea, or grab a gift certificate instead (because whoever you give it to will love browsing the shelves.)  And you’ll be helping support this Broadway landmark, which was rescued by none other than new owners Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Jeffrey Seller, and James L Nederlander. 7 – A coffee table book of advice.

“Cast of Mentors” has a permanent place on my desk.  Not just because I wrote it.  But because I use it! “Cast of Mentors” is filled with bite-sized advice from 50 of the smartest theatermakers in the biz, including Tony-winners, Oscar-winners and Pulitzer Prize-winners.  It’s a great little gift that doesn’t cost a lot, but can teach you a ton.

Yes, yes, we created this game.  But for those of you who think we’re just stumping for our own stuff, click here and look at all the amazing reviews.  Be A Broadway Star is Broadway’s ONLY board game.  It’s a mashup between charades and “Life,” and is a ton of fun (and yes, adults, there is also a drinking version).
