Broadway Grosses w/e 8/17/2019: Heat Gotcha Down
Broadway bid bade farewell to three of this season’s new musicals over last week. King Kong, Pretty Woman, and The Cher Show all played their final performances Sunday leading to an uptick in sales.
Overall, grosses were down slightly from the previous week; about 5%. Family shows took the biggest hits with the Disney trio each dropping by double digits. A sure sign that the back-to-school season has begun.
