Broadway Grosses* w/e 1/15/2017 – January ain’t so cold after all.
Greetings Gross Fans!
You may be wondering why I think this was a healthy week. Well, if you look at the numbers by show–it was! All the houses played to a pretty high capacity, and the average ticket price was up not only from last year but from last week, as well.
The reason the numbers are down 1.39% is because there are six less shows on Broadway right now than this time last year. This week saw the closing of The Humans, Holiday Inn, and Jersey Boys–which closed after a profitable twelve-year run–bringing our number of total running shows even lower for next week.
On a high note, Oh, Hello recouped, and that’s always a healthy week in my book 🙂
