Broadway Grosses* w/e 1/8/2017
Looks like we had a successful first full week of 2017! Grosses were up from last year, even though a lot of shows closed in these last two weeks, and we have three shows less than last year. The beginning of a new year is usually hard on Producers since tourists have already taken their holiday breaks and aren’t planning to travel again until the weather warms up.
A lot of shows this season chose not to let that deter them and decided to open in the Fall, giving ticket-buyers a lot of strong options of shows to see in these couple of months before the rush of shows opening in March and April.
