Broadway Grosses w/e 6/2/2019: Slow and Steady
In the first official week of the 2019-2020 season, overall grosses held steady at about $35M, only a slight dip of 4% from the previous week.
While most shows had slight drops in grosses last week, those faring the best are benefiting from the awards season blitz. The race for best musical remains a toss-up with Ain’t Too Proud, Hadestown, and Tootsie all sitting above $1M per week.
