The Nominees for the 2012 Broadway Marketing Awards are. . .

You couldn’t sleep last night, could you?

You were on edge with anticipation . . . who will be nominated for the first ever Broadway Marketing Awards?  Will it be your favorite show?  Will it be the shows that have sold the most tickets?  Which advertising/marketing agencies will dominate?

It’s time to find out!

As I announced yesterday in this blog, I think the worker bees at the Advertising and Marketing agencies in this city are some of the most unrecognized artists in our industry.  They never get the accolades when shows sell well (they only recently started putting themselves on the title pages), and they ALWAYS get the #*&@ when shows don’t sell well.

So, I put together a group of nominators including Jessica Berger, Blake Ross, Josh Seifert, Julie Thompson, Erik Gensler, and myself (don’t worry, I took Godspell and Chinglish out of the running since I was personally involved with those campaigns) to choose a slate of nominees (from this season’s shows) to select the best in a whole bunch of categories.  Today we’re going to announce those nominees and then YOU are going to vote for the winner.

Are you ready?  Here we go . . .

Oh, one more thing . . . I’ve just listed the shows and the credits below.  To SEE the actual logos, taglines, commercials, Twitter accounts, etc. that earned these esteemed organizations their nominations, click on the VOTE NOW button and you’ll be taken to the voting page which will show you the goods.
